Studio work · Attention to the details

Mixing and mastering are different stages.

A studio mix brings the recorded parts of a production together. Mastering addresses the completed mix and its intended delivery. Jean-Pierre lists both among his established areas of practice, alongside recording and tracking. A project inquiry should make clear whether you need a mix from the recorded tracks, work on an existing mix or both stages.

Start with the music and the intended result. Include the state of the recordings, a rough mix if available, useful references and the release or delivery schedule. Those details help define what needs attention and what source material is available, without assuming that every project needs the same process.

Agree the source material and handover.

File preparation, session compatibility, references, revisions and final delivery requirements should be settled before the work starts. If the material is part of a larger production, identify the recording engineer, producer and any other people involved in approvals so the studio work has a clear point of contact.

Jean-Pierre founded StudioJPB in 2008 as a home for his studio work, from recording sessions to the final master. His engineering practice moves between stage, studio and broadcast, with attention to understanding the performance and shaping the sound around it. Clients worldwide are welcome to inquire; delivery arrangements and the practical scope are confirmed directly.

Questions before the project.

Does Jean-Pierre provide both mixing and mastering?

Yes. Recording, mixing and mastering are established areas of his StudioJPB practice. The required stages and deliverables are agreed for each production.

Can I inquire from another country?

Yes. International clients can contact Jean-Pierre by email or WhatsApp to discuss the material, timing and working arrangements.

Are online mixing packages or fixed rates listed?

Project scope and delivery arrangements are discussed directly. Send the number of songs, the state of the recordings and your deadline to request a suitable proposal.

Are artist collaborations the same as recording credits?

A collaboration alone does not specify a studio role. The portfolio distinguishes documented FOH and monitor assignments and identifies StudioJPB as the established recording, mixing and mastering practice.
